Membership of the Choir

As befits a choir of this standard, membership of the choir is via audition, and each concert features forty singers: five parts with eight in each part. The choir is particularly noteworthy for the tonal balance of the sixteen sopranos, and over the years this section in particular has been carefully hand-picked to ensure the continued purity of sound.

The choir performs pieces in their original language and wherever possible with period orchestras to ensure the greatest authenticity.
